During London Design Festival 2018 Faber Futures joined Ma-tt-er to celebrate the launch of their new book, Why Materials Matter with an exhibition and panel discussion exploring what it means to live in a material world and how past and future materials will help us build out preferred futures. The panel was curated and moderated by writer and designer of Why Materials Matter, Seetal Solanki, included model and ecological activist Wilson Oryema and Liz Corbin of University College London.
The exhibition and panel discussion, both held in the Brompton Design District, brought to life Seetal Solanki’s radical proposal for the more sustainable material future explored in Why Materials Matter.
Why Materials Matter is a comprehensive, visually stunning and thoughtful guide to a more sustainable future that can be achieved through a re-imagination of materials, design, education and innovation. Get your copy here!
