What Design Can Do: Live Amsterdam 2024

What Design Can Do is an international organisation that seeks to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, fair, and just society using the power of design. The 12th edition of its annual gathering took place in Amsterdam and concentrated on how creative activism can drive climate justice. Held on July 5 at the Muziekgebouw concert hall, the programming featured a series of talks by visionary designers, including our founder, Natsai Audrey Chieza, a graphic artist, Edel Rodriguez, and an architect and educator, Afaina de Jong. The programme also included workshops exploring themes like regenerative and circular design, AI, sustainable futures, and storytelling for change.

She highlighted the importance of fostering symbiotic, restorative relationships between local landscapes and external stakeholders.
