This Women’s International Day we are so excited to be able to join in marking the achievements of women doing phenomenal work across the continent of Africa and its diaspora. In its second year running, OkayAfrica’s 100Women list went up with a stunning roster of talent across ten distinct categories. Among her peers and role models, Natsai Audrey Chieza has been named an honoree of OkayAfrica’s 100Women 2018 in the STE(A)M category (we think it’s missing an ‘A’). Previous honourees include Lupita Nyongo, Chimamanda Adichie, and the spellbinding artist whose music we have on repeat, Somi.
It is somewhat surreal to be an honouree in the STEM category- I certainly did not see that coming- perhaps a sign that in a complex world interdisciplinarity is becoming the de facto approach to innovative problem-solving. – Natsai
Check out OkayAfrica for the full list which spans ten distinct categories: STEM, Literature, TV & Film, Sports & Wellness, Music, Arts, Media, Business & Economics, Politics & Activism, Style & Beauty.
