Normal Phenomena of Life’s listed for the Dezeen Awards 2024 

We’re thrilled to share some amazing news—NPOL has been distinguished in multiple categories for the prestigious Dezeen Awards 2024, standing out among 225 notable entries selected from 4,000 projects submitted from nearly 100 countries worldwide!

We are proud to see our brand identity shortlisted in the Graphic Design category, following this year’s recognition at the European Design Awards. Our commitment to sustainability have been also acknowledged for our hero creations—the newly launched Gathering Lamp in the Sustainable Design (Consumer) category, and the Exploring Jacket, which made it to the Material Innovation longlist. Crafted from silk and batch-dyed using wildtype Streptomyces coelicolor, this jacket exemplifies our toxin-free and water-efficient microbial dyeing process, developed over the years at Faber Futures’ LAB. We’re also proud to see our brand identity shortlisted in the Graphic Design category.

The Dezeen Awards, in partnership with Bentley, annually spotlight the most groundbreaking innovations across architecture, product design, interiors, and graphic design. Known for their global reach and rigorous selection process, the 2024 edition features an exciting panel of 18 judges, including architect Keiji Ashizawa, celebrated designers Patricia Urquiola and Lee Broom, interior designer Claudia Afshar, and sustainability expert Mina Hasman.

Winners will be announced at the Dezeen Awards party on Tuesday, 26 November.
