Frame Awards
Our founder Natsai Audrey Chieza was part of this year’s jury for the 3rd edition of Frame Awards 2020 – a two-day event devoted to the future of interiors. She was joined by other industry leaders, comprising designers and manufacturers – Adam Nathaniel Furnman, Kaave Pour, Regine Leibinger and Martha Thorne – to select the best spatial design projects for the sustainability, innovation and social impact categories of the Societal Awards. As part of the programme of talks, workshops and film screenings, Natsai also participated in a panel discussion together with Eric Klarenbeek, Helen Steiner and Nancy Diniz, where she spoke on the role of biomaterials in building a sustainable economy. Her thoughts are highlighted in an interview published by the Frame.
We offer our congratulations to all the winners and finalists! Overtreders W was awarded a prize from the sustainability category, Cutwork for innovation and Sarit Shani Hay for social impact. All winners and finalists were impressive design interventions interacting with complex markets and systems while opening up critical contextual narratives on how they can become more widely distributed.
